Document Control Specialist
Darlene worked for the U.S. federal government for 29 years, progressing her career through various promotions and retiring as a department manager. She worked for various agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Air Marshals, and Department of Interior. She made an impact as a senior manager providing guidance on various administrative programs as well as managing human capital and resources. In 2021, Darlene decided to exit retirement and return to work. She secured a position in records management, then advanced her career to document control management and regular collaboration with project managers and engineers.
Darlene is well-versed in delivery and submittals on transportation design build/construction projects in the Puget Sound region, such as: Sound Transit’s E320 East Link extension, the Sound Transit Light Rail Vehicle Tacoma Streetcar, King County North Mercer Island Interceptor and Enatai Interceptor Upgrade-Conveyance/Pump Station improvements, the Sound Transit Bus Base North/System Wide Fit Up, and King County’s South Annex Base. She is proficient in SharePoint, Contract Manager, and Bluebeam for managing reviews and project library submittals. Her expertise also includes RFI and change management, comment review forms, and inspection reports.
