The Everett Link Extension (EVLE) will connect the north Puget Sound communities of Lynnwood, unincorporated Snohomish County, and Everett to the regional light rail network via 16 new miles of light rail and six new stations.

Washington State Ferries System Electrification Program (SEP)

WSDOT’s Washington State Ferries (WSF) System Electrification Program (SEP) is the world’s largest marine electrification program in progress to date. It aims to electrify and modernize WSF’s entire system, currently including 21 auto/passenger ferries serving 20 terminals on 10 routes in Washington’s Puget Sound and adjacent waters.

Sound Transit Federal Way Link Extension

Project overview:

The Federal Way Link Extension will travel 7.8 miles south from Sea-Tac Airport to Federal Way, along the west side of Interstate 5. The project began construction in 2020 and is expected to open in 2026.

South Annex Bus Base Expansion

Project Overview:

King County Metro is designing and constructing a modern best practices base for an all-battery fully electric bus fleet. South Annex Base will house and maintain up to 250 battery electric, zero-emission buses and operation facilities that are third-party certified green buildings.

Alaskan Way Viaduct And Seawall Replacement Project

Project Overview:

In 2009, government officials agreed to a deep-bore tunnel to replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct. In its place, a bored highway tunnel was designed to run under Downtown Seattle from SoDo in the south to South Lake Union in the north. The 2-mile (3.2 km) long double-decker tunnel carries a section of State Route 99 (SR 99).
